Scriptynite™ (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is operated by Attention at Scale, Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our web application at app.scriptynite.com and our website at scriptynite.com (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you create an account and use Scriptynite, we collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

Your name and email address. Your YouTube channel name, URL, and niche. Content you create within the platform, such as scripts, video ideas, interview responses, and content plans. Voice training documents you upload (PDF, DOCX, TXT files). Payment information (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your credit card details). API keys you provide for third-party services (stored securely and used solely to access those services on your behalf).

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Service, we automatically collect: Log data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Usage data including features used, scripts generated, and session activity. Device information including screen size and operating system.

Information from Third-Party Services

We access data from third-party services solely to provide our features:

YouTube Data API v3: We query YouTube’s API to retrieve publicly available video titles, descriptions, view counts, channel statistics, and search results. This data powers our topic research, competitor analysis, format detection, and outlier detection features. We do not access your private YouTube account data, upload videos on your behalf, or modify your YouTube channel in any way.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: Provide, maintain, and improve the Service. Generate scripts, content packages, and research insights for you. Process your payments and manage your subscription. Personalize your experience based on your channel profile and voice training data. Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support. Monitor usage to prevent abuse and ensure platform stability. Improve our AI models and features based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

YouTube API Services

Scriptynite uses the YouTube Data API v3 to provide research and analysis features. By using these features, you are also bound by the Google Privacy Policy, available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Our use of the YouTube Data API is limited to:

  • Searching for publicly available videos and channels by keyword.
  • Retrieving publicly available video metadata (titles, view counts, publish dates, descriptions).
  • Retrieving publicly available channel statistics (subscriber counts, video counts).

We cache YouTube API data for up to 24 hours to reduce redundant API calls and improve performance. Cached data is automatically deleted after this period.

We do not:

  • Access your private YouTube account data.
  • Upload, modify, or delete any content on YouTube.
  • Store YouTube video content, audio, or thumbnails permanently.
  • Redistribute raw YouTube data to third parties.
  • Display YouTube data outside of our authenticated application.

Revoking Access: You can revoke Scriptynite’s access to YouTube API data at any time by visiting Google’s security settings at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Note that Scriptynite only uses the YouTube Data API with an API key for public data searches; we do not use OAuth-based access to your personal YouTube account.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices: Application data is stored in Supabase (hosted on secure cloud infrastructure) with row-level security policies. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. API keys you provide are stored as encrypted environment variables. All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. When you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible until the end of your billing period. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Cached YouTube API data is automatically deleted after 24 hours. Voice training documents are retained as long as your account is active and can be deleted by you at any time within the application.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data.
  • Objection: Object to certain types of data processing.

Cookies and Local Storage

Scriptynite uses browser local storage and cookies to: Maintain your login session. Store your application preferences. Cache feature states for performance. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

Children's Privacy

Scriptynite is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice within the application. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
